Recently at an office meeting, my broker was talking to a colleague and asked him what homes his clients were looking for. His response? “Anything in Riverside School District.”
He’s not the only one. It seems that everyone is looking to move to Riverside SD, and it’s understandable why. It’s a great school district in an area that’s close to everything and has real estate that is reasonably priced.
But the demand for that area has caused housing prices to go up dramatically the past year, and the demand has only gotten greater in 2017. In fact, currently our winter showings are at the levels they typically are in the summer, especially in the Riverside area.
Since the beginning of the year, over half the homes listed in Riverside SD that were below $200,000 went under contract in less than a week. My office has clients basically begging for new listings in Riverside, but we just can’t meet the demand.
So if you’re in the Riverside area and are considering moving, now is the time to cash in. I say that at the risk of sounding “scammy,” but it’s not scam. There is real demand that has caused prices to go up and sellers in the area have benefited immensely. List your home with me, and I can just about guarantee that it will sell quickly. In fact, after I tell my colleagues I have a home in Riverside to list, I wouldn’t be shocked if it sold without even hitting the market. Send me an email and we can discuss your options.
